Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long do your training sessions last?
A. To be completely honest I don’t time the sessions, this allows for flexibility in my clients busy schedules. However, plan on spending at least sixty to ninety minutes for each training session.
Q. What will I be doing during these training sessions?
A. Sessions include a warm up of myofascial release techniques and a combination of static and dynamic stretching, After the first session, the workout will be tailored based on your goals and movement screen. Every training session will be designed to help you reach your goals.
Q. How much do you charge per hour?
A. I don’t charge per hour, I charge per session. Price is determined on sessions per month and your length of committing to a one, three, six, or twelve month program.
Q. How long till I see results?
A. We assess our clients every session, therefore, results will be unique to the client themselves and the changes/goals they what to make. If weight loss is the client’s main goal, average healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs per week. However, most clients notice psychological changes before they see physical changes. Again the changes are based on creating a lifelong habit, we strive to achieve with all our clients, not a fad diet thirty-day challenge purchase.
Q. So what should I eat before a training session?
A. Keep it simple! We all know that sucking down Big Macs and Diet Cokes day in and day out leads to a less than productive you. I like to eat a protein (chicken, turkey meat, hamburger), a carb ( rice, bread, oatmeal), and a vegetable. If you need more ideas click here www.choosemyplate.gov/
Q. Can you tell me what exactly to eat and when to eat it?
A. No, I’m not a registered dietitian. The American Council on Exercises excludes me from doing so. Think of it this way, does your dentist give you an eye exam? I do, however, work closely with local registered dietitians who can answer your questions professionally! This allows us to focus on being the best at training you and allowing the dietitians to be the best at what they do.
Q. Will training make me look bulky and manly looking?
A. No, this will not make you ladies look like a massive bodybuilder. Females do not possess enough testosterone naturally to achieve that physique. Will you gain muscle mass from strength training? Definitely, but again not to that degree. Muscle serves two functions, aids in daily living activities and requires more calories for fuel.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Wear clothing that allows your legs and arms to move freely and unrestricted by the material, and shoes that allow you to run or squat without falling forward (think cross trainers). Most clients wear shorts, yoga pants or athletic pants to train in, just keep the clothing publicly appropriate.
Q. Should I bring something to drink?
A. I suggest water or a sports drink. If you forget the gym does offer water and sports drinks that can be purchased at the front desk.
Q. What supplements should I buy?
A. Again, this falls into the gray area of my scope of practice. The real question you need to ask yourself is what am I not getting from whole foods that I would need to go out and buy products to replace those nutrients with. Remember supplements do just that, supplement what you are already doing.
Q. What are your opinions about pre-workout drinks?
A. Waste of money most are packed with caffeine, sugar and chemicals! If you want a scientifically proven pre-workout drink, drink coffee. Coffee has also been shown to increase pain tolerance, no pain no gain anyone?
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Cancellations happen, I just ask that you respect my time so that I can continue to deliver quality training to all my clients. Docking sessions will be on a case by case basis.
Q. What is Semi-Private Training?
A. Semi- Private training offers you coaching at a discounted rate and the opportunity to train with other like-minded individuals. To note it will never exceeded a 4-1 (client to trainer ratio).
Q. Do you offer Private Training?

Q. Do you offer online Training?
